    Description

    Here is a wonderful Sukhothai earthenware, altar guardian creature figure depicting a primitive mythological pair of leo, used during early animistic religious and cultural ceremonies to contain sacred objects. It's look as awesome animal spirit that counteract evil spirits. They're well shaped torso with it's almond-shaped eyes bulging, a nose connected to relief-sculpted eyebrows and open mouth. And on the bottom Reveals the abrasion of base which is origin source of earthen.
    In the ancient time, the sculpture of Sukhothai were called 'Sang Ka Loke' or Chinaware which get influenced by Chinese, made by Thai artisan as who think and development by himself. Mostly were crockery, Green Earthenware Celedon, to use in only the Kingdom. Many types of them also used for decorate the architecture Buddhism, religious, cultural ceremonies and sacred objects.
