    Description

    This is an original Antique Silver Foil Covered Resin / Clay Buddha Figure from Thailand.  This figure was purchased in Bangkok by my expatriate father in the early 1970's during the period of his life when he owned an antique shop in Penang, Malaysia.  This Buddha was formed over a hardened resin / clay core.  A delicate Silver Foil overlay was then applied & hammered into place by an Artisan's hand to add the detail of the Buddha Figure as well as to the intricate base.  The piece appears to date to well before the Turn of the Century.

    Buddha Dimensions: 2 1/2 inches wide at the base, 4 1/8 inches high with a depth of 1 1/8 inches.  Weight: 3.3 ounces (93.56 grams)
