About the KUCHI:  The Kuchi are tribes of nomadic people who for centuries traveled freely across the international borders of the Middle East and Central Asia.
The Kuchi merchants were once located along the ancient trade routes in this vast region.
Their jewelry and clothing are known for their vibrant energy, exuberant colors and creative spirit.

These beautiful original pendants and colorful jewels with dangles originally came from the nomadic Pashtoon tribes that wandered the border areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan,
along ancient routes between the seasons, moving down from the mountains in the winter and back to their homes in the summer.
The word Kuchi itself is derived from a Persian word meaning migration, in relation to nomads or gypsies, and does not describe a particular group or people, but rather a state of being.
Many different peoples or tribes from these areas have been classified as Kuchi but the original migratory nomads of this area are the Pashtoon.
Kuchi jewelry is often made of different metal alloys. Kuchi jewelry has been known to have a low gold content below 6 percent, could also contain brass, silver, and other alloys- whatever was available at the time it was made. (this necklace not tested)
