    Description

    Vintage real photo postcard as shown in scans. According to a news article "This 36-foot steamer was constructed in 1908 by local boat builder H.C. Telford at Odessa, a community located about 25 miles northwest of Klamath Falls. In the early 1900s, transportation to various points around the lake was most easily made by boat. At one point the Curlew was transferred from the upper lake to Lake Ewauna. The Curlew carried passengers and mail for perhaps 20 years before being idled by the advent of highway travel."
