    Description

    Featured here is an ornate signed plate from Marmara Çini of Kutahya, Turkey. This plate has a lovely repeating pattern of green and teal flowers swirling around the plate accented by orange-red colors, a perfect complementary color scheme atop a bright white glaze. One flower ever curls over the edge onto the back of the plate. Signed on the underside, “Marmara Çini Üzul El isi By. Ahmet By. Mustafa Kütahya/Türkiye”. Also has a hole in the underside ridge for hanging with a string already attached.
    In good condition, no chips or cracks. This gorgeous plate does show crazing when looking closely (see photo 2 close-up), and a little wear to the backside. See pictures for closer detail.
    Measures about 9.75” in diameter and weighs 1 lb 2 oz prior to packaging. We have several other Kutahya plates in our store, check for more if interested.
