    Description

    Up for auction is another KISS RARITY.
    This lot is for a Personally Owned note pad from KISS original drummer, Peter Criss.  The pad  itself is a large rectangular notepad with a cardboard backing.  The pad was once James Chapin's and has his name and address on it as well as a very familiar drawn stick figure of a drummer....James Chapin was The Cat Man's drumming teacher and mentor in the early 1980's when he left KISS...he was also singer Harry Chapin's (Cats in the Cradle) father.  Also very interesting is that Chapin was known to sign a "drummer stick figure" with his name, as present on this pad....this is something we've seen Peter Criss also do.  I included a screen shot of Peter's website where he pays respect to Chapin.
    Framed in this piece is a blank sheet off of the pad as well as the pad itself which Peter doodled on.  You can see from the photos that the doodles include a drum kit, various faces, and a peanut that looks strangely a  bit like Pres. Jimmy Carter?? There is also Peter's stick figure "drummer man" and some writing including the name of Peter's brother in law Chris Svensk..... A personally owned and very RARE collectible.  This originally came as a part of a lot of material sold by his ex-wife Debra in an auction via a TX auction house.  It was acquired by an Ohio "KISS MUSEUM" and later resold in a lot of material by a NY auction house.  I purchased that lot and have decided to separately sell a few of the pieces that I had framed, but couldn't find the right spot to hang in my collection...
    I had this professionally matted and framed, measuring approximately 18x24...
    You will note the piece includes a great photo of the Catman from Cadillac Michigan.
    This is definitely RARE.
