    . Certificate is about 9” x 12.5.” Black print with orange borders on cream-colored paper. Vignette with the U.S. Capitol building (top), and dog on chest (bottom).
    The Sub-Marine Salvage Company owned patented mechanisms (1916 US patent #1,188,333) to recover sunken ships and cargo. The salvage apparatus is attached to a coiled cable which has floats (containing corrugated chambers) attached with sufficient buoyancy to raise the sunken boat or submarine by means of a pulley.
